Italian Gabin will perform at Akropolis
The Italian band Gabin founded by two musicians, a DJ and jazz bass guitarist Fillipo Clary and Max Botti, is returning to Prague after two years. Various guest vocalists play a significant role in Gabin's songs. Their first album features Ana Carril Obiols from Mano Negro, the second an American jazz singer Dee Dee Bridgewater, a two-time Grammy Award winner. In their six-year existence the band's hits appeared on popular TV series like the Sex and the City and Six Feet Under. In Prague Gabin will present its third album Third and Double. You will hear a mix of funk, soul and jazz that will create an atmosphere from old movies and beach parties in Latin America. Gabin and its band will perform on Thursday, 17 February 2011 at 8 p.m. Tickets are available in advance sale for CZK 500. You will need to pay an extra CZK 50 if you you purchase the tickets in Akropolis on the day of the concert.
