The city of Prague welcomes Judas Priest with Special Guest Whitesnake on June 28th 2011 to the O2 Arena at 8:00 p.m. Formed in Birmingham, England in 1968 Judas Priest is one of the most popular English heavy metal bands. Drawing influence from Black Sabbath, the band Judas Priest has earned the nickname “Metal Gods” (also a Judas Priest song title), a nickname they most certainly deserve, as they are one of the definitive and original heavy metal bands in the history of Rock and Roll. Judas Priest has sold over 50 million albums worldwide and was named 78th greatest artist of all time by VH1 in 2010 and the 2nd greatest metal band, after Black Sabbath. The name of the band comes from a Bob Dylan song titled “The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest”. Joining Judas Priest will be special guest Whitesnake, an English rock band that dates back to 1977 when David Coverdale left Deep Purple and formed the heavy metal band of Whitesnake. Whitesnake is known worldwide for its massive billboard hit “Here I Go Again” and was named the 85th greatest hard rock band of all time by VH1. Don’t miss this heavy rock and roll evening in Prague!
