Mezi Ploty Music and Theater Festival
The 20th annual Mezi Ploty (Between the Fences) music and theater festival will take place on the last weekend in May (28 – 29 May 2011). Visitors of the Bohnice psychiatric hospital where the festival takes place every year will see more than 140 performers on 11 stages (including e.g. Czech bands and singers The Plastic People of the Universe, Blue Effect, Dan Bárta, Cocotte Minute and Gipsy.cz). Six stages will host performances by independent theater groups, dance performances, as well as actors from foremost Czech theaters such as Brno's Husa na Provázku or Prague's Divadlo na Zábradlí. Various art workshops and screening of films from the One World Festival will also take place. The psychiatric hospital can be best reached by metro C line to the Kobylisy metro station and then by buses no. 177 and 200 to the Katovická station. One-day entrance fee is CZK 250, while tickets for the whole weekend cost CZK 470.
