Marc Ribot’s Ceramic Dog at Akropolis
A long-term cooperator with Tom Waits and a holder of 5 Grammy awards Marc Ribot is coming to Prague with his band!
Ribot is one of the most admired and most universal guitar players in the world who has cooperated with musicians such as Wilson Picket, Chuck Berry, Tom Waits, David Sylvian, Robert Plant and many more. The musical composer Steward Wallace even composed a composition for guitar and orchestra specifically for Marc, which was premiered with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington DC. Nowadays Ribot is a member of two bands, one of which is a Ceramic Dog, which will perform at Akropolis on October 19. The style of the band is usually characterized as "free-punk-funk-experimental-psychedelic-postelectro" and the other members are bassist Shazhad Ismaily, drummer Ches Smith and violin player and singer Eszter Balint as the special guest.
