On Sunday the 24th of July 2011 a singer, DJ, four dancers and two drummers will perform on a special fire truck within a street theater project on the náměstí Míru Square in Prague. The center of all the events will be an old fire truck that was specially adjusted for this performance by the sculptor Lukáš Rais and that will serve as a big music instrument. The motto of the event “join the revolution“ can be understood either as a reflection of events happening worldwide or as a personal revolution and reflection of each of us. The main text of the performance is the collection of poetry titled Howl by the American beatnik Allen Ginsberg. The text is accompanied by allusions to the renowned American slogans from the first Moon landing or from Barack Obama's election campaign. Dancers and pyrotechnic effects will accompany the recitation. The event starts at 6:30 pm and entrance is free.
