Freestyle Mondays brings you a portion of Mexican flavor!

Summer is here and Chapeau Rouge is happy to bring you another edition of the monthly Freestyle Mondays on the 18th of July. This time you can look forward to a performance by Los Chilakillerz, a band from Mexico. MC Nefftys, a female rapper with an incredible flow is part of this group. This energetic band combines traditional rhythms on live instruments with rap, funk, hip hop and ska. Members of this group exchanged Mexico City for Czech beer and have been living in Prague for some time now. The Freestyle Monday event was designed for emcees, beatboxers or singers who will be accompanied by Los Chilakillerz. The mic, the band and the DJ will be ready to provide the musical background for every emcee, singer or beatboxer who wants to show off their skills. Freestyle Mondays at the Chapeau Rouge club is a licensed event with its origins in NYC where it has been running for ten years now and has become very popular amongst all people, no matter their preferred music genre or language. And so it goes with the popularity of the Czech chapter of Freestyle Mondays. If you haven't had the chance to check out this unique event, don't hesitate to do so, because the live band provides an awesome atmosphere that you don’t want to miss. As always, MC Metoděj will be hosting the event along with the vocalists Flowe and Martin Kräussl. The event will also feature DJ Shock O´and DJ Pret. Freestyle Mondays is first and foremost a jam, so everybody will get a chance to showcase their freestyle or written text talent. The event starts at 8 p.m. and you can enjoy the live band and Djs until midnight and then there will be a classic party where you can dance till the early morning to your favorite rap anthem and bounce jams. You don't need to register; all you need to do is show up and grab the mic if you feel the urge to do so. The entrance fee until 9 p.m. is only 30,- Czech Crowns and after that a symbolic 50,- and until midnight you can grab a beer for 28,- Czech Crowns, a very affordable price for the center of Prague.
