9000 Miles: Graffiti, Street Art and Music

The 9000Miles project is based on the idea of combining different artists of different genres across Europe. This project was already featured at festivals and clubs in nine European cities providing entertaining performances while working with local artists. You can look forward and enjoy the audio-visual project in Prague’s Chapeau Rouge club. Artists traveling throughout Europe with this project are also shooting a documentary covering their experience, which will be featured at the final event of 9000Miles in Gent, Belgium. You can enjoy this project at the Chapeau Rouge club in Prague on Wednesday, August 3. Starting at 6 P.M. Czech and Belgian writers and street artists create their works in the lower level. Representing Prague are: Cheetism, Masker, Duke, Phoe, Baest and others working wonders with their colors and shapes. Together with Belgian artist they will paint the walls of the club. At the dance floor (upstairs bar) you will get a chance to see Czech and Belgian musicians. You can look forward to Acrid Cast, Belgian emcee and beat maker, co-founder of the group Outspoken Members, which was nominated in the Best Group category in 2005 at the Belgian Music Awards. He is currently a member of Beat Drunx, with producers One-Cel, DJem Court-A-Sock and his friend MC Rubski, who too will be performing on Wednesday at the Chapeau Rouge club. The third and youngest member of the Belgian team will be DJ Hypercutz, promising young DJ influenced by the traditional Belgian scratching school including legends such as: DJ Grazzahoppa, Lamont and KillaTactics crew. For the Czech part of the project you can look forward to: Tesla crew, MC Metoděj, Foggy Fogosh, and the female group DiaKritika. Musical background will be provided by DJ Back, Dj Watra, Jah Atom Sound or DJ Dr. T.N.F., bringing currently popular European style tektonik to the mix of hip hop and reggae sounds.
