Freestyle Mondays at Chapeau Rouge

Emcees in our part of the world usually don’t have many opportunities to show and improve their skills on a regular basis. In Prague the odds of finding and event with open mic are much better. Freestyle Mondays is one of such events with a unique attribute. Not only a DJ but also a live band accompanies emcees. Freestyle Mondays takes place at the Chapeau Rouge club every third Monday in a month and so is the case of August 15th. After two months’ vacation you can look for the Buran Buran live band with Flowe, an incredible vocalist. There will also be DJ Machall and DJ Pret. Your hosts for the event are MC Metoděj with his sidekick MC Dozer. You can also look forward to a showcase by our special guests from Pilsner: Kenas & N8, recommended by Radio Spin host Poeta. Chapeau Rouge is calling for all emcees, beatboxers, poets and singers to join us them on Monday, August 15 at Prague’s Chapeau Rouge club and enjoy the atmosphere of Freestyle Mondays. This event is not limited to the hip hop music scene. It is a place where emcees of different genres, musical preferences, nationalities or languages meet and rock together, get to know new people and even end up working on joint projects. In case you can’t come out to the club due to your work schedule or you’re simply not from Prague, you can still enjoy Freestyle Mondays. All you have to do is tune in the internet radio Hiphopstage.cz at 9 PM for the live broadcast of Freestyle Mondays from the Chapeau Rouge club. The event starts at 8 PM and after the open mic jam with the live band the DJs are ready to make you dance till the early morning! The mic is ready for new and regular faces!
