80s at Akropolis – Toyen
Within the new cycle of concerts reviving the 1980s era the Czech band Toyen that became successful to the west of our country as one of few of its time will perform at Akropolis Palace on the 24th of September 2011. The guitar band Toyen was founded in 1989. The band characteristic of dreamy and melancholic sounds deserved the attention of critics and listeners, as in its peak career it managed to react to the development at the international and mainly British music scene. Toyen even appeared on MTV and played at legendary American clubs. Within the 1980s cycle the Akropolis Palace will present bands that no longer perform together in order to commemorate the then music scene and atmosphere. The concert of Toyen at Akropolis will start at 7:30 p.m.
