Moonlit Sailor (SW) + Ufajr (CZ)

Moonlit Sailor and Ufajr will rock Chapeau Rouge on September 8th, 2011 as headliners of the Indigoseries Music Festival together with Radare (playing September 12, 2011 at Chapeau Rouge). In the more and more popular but also mostly dark genre of post rock MOONLIT SAILOR are a light at the end of the tunnel as their music is a little more beautiful, catchy, optimistic, brighter and full of hope. Their acoustic guitars, beautiful melodies and great songwriting make them both fresh and breathtaking. It is no wonder then why Deep Elm Records, who released their debut album “So Close to Life” internationally in November 2009, signed them. The Silent Ballet described the album as: "Bombastic drumwork and the prettiest guitars craft one of the most engaging releases as of late." Tollbooth even speaks of a "modern rock masterpiece"! UFAJR is a well-known band among indie/post-rock listeners in Prague. Last year they played as an instrumental quartet while their singer studied Portuguese abroad. Now he is back and UFAJR can use his improved pronunciation for example in the great song Superdemaged (includes Fernando Pessoa rhymes). When describing themselves, UFAJR says their „philosophy is to keep a balance between accessible music and a total mess.“ In their music they often mix post-rock aesthetics with aggressive, pop vocals with polyphony, and minimalism with Queen-like pomp. www.ufajr.net
