September's Freestyle Monday at Chapeau Rouge!

Next month it’s already going to be a year that Freestyle Mondays Prague has been running at the Chapeau Rouge club. Needless to say, during this year of its existence it has become very popular within and outside the hip hop community. Freestyle Mondays is the only open mic jam where DJs and a live band regardless of their preferred music genre, their language or the country of their origin support emcees, beatboxers or singers. Monday, September 19th will be no exception. This time you can expect a special showcase by two of today’s most successful acts in Czech hip hop: Rest&DJ Fatte who released their acclaimed record Premiéra on their TyNikdy! Label. They recently finished their Czech tour and played as the supporting act for Prago Union. You can also look forward to a brief showcase by a young progressive band called Sklepní víly from Kutná Hora. This group is famous for their original show and costumes, which you won’t soon forget. In their art they pay homage to old school hip hop groups such as Manželé or Piráti through their music and amusing lyrical content. As always, MC Metoděj and MC Dozer will host the whole event. The emcees will be supported by the Buran Buran live band, vocalists Flowe and Martin Kräussl and DJs: Watra, Fatte and Shock O´. For the first time ever Freestyle Mondays will take place on the two floors of the Chapeau Rouge club. The new reconstructed Underground floor will host the jam with the live band and artists’ showcase. You can look forward to a brand new sound and design of the whole club. On the second floor, the Dance club, you can enjoy music by DJs: LU2, BA2S and Scaffer playing from 10 p.m. till the early morning hours. Do not forget to purchase tickets to this event beforehand as they sell out fast. At the moment only 35 tickets are available for 80, - Czech Crowns, which can be picked up at the Chapeau Rouge bar. On the day of the event there will be just limited amount of tickets available for 120, - Czech Crowns for the first fifty people. The capacity of the club is limited. The program of the September Freestyle Mondays edition promises to be more than exciting, simply do not miss it! The partners of the event are Queens.cz, Nemiroff vodka and Red Bull. All that’s left to do is to mark September 19 in your calendar, whether you’re an emcee who wants to jam with the live band or just a fan who wants to enjoy good music and an unique atmosphere.
