The main star of November's EuroConnections at Palac Akropolis will be the Berlin singer/songwriter Clara Hill. Clara with her soul-laced voice participated in the Jazzanova project, which the Czech audience had a chance to see in May. Clara also has a successful solo career during which she released three records whose style ranges from broken beat to acid jazz to folk. The singer - often compared to Sade - will be accompanied at Akropolis by her 5-member band. The Czech side of EuroConnections will be the Czech band of a similar style S.O.I.L. - often called the Czech Portishead - with singer Zuzka Kropackova. On November 18 the visitors of Palac Akropolis will have a chance to compare how jazz, downtempo and electronics are mixed in Prague and in Berlin.
