Prague Philharmonia (PKF) led by conductor Leoš Svárovský is inviting you for a Christmas concert at Žofín Palace that will take place on Wednesday, December 21st 2011 at 7:30 p.m. In the Great Hall of the Žofín Palace the soprano Tereza Mátlová and tenor Aleš Briscein will perform together with the Prague Philharmonia. Tereza Mátlová graduated from singing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She is a regular guest at prestigious music festivals and as a soloist she gives guest performances at the National Theater in Prague and at important international opera scenes. Aleš Briscein graduated from saxophone and clarinet, as well as opera singing at the Prague Conservatoire. He performs at prestigious festivals, cooperates with significant orchestras and has performed in many operas all over the world. At the Prague concert you will hear romantic opera melodies and significant orchestra overtures from operas such as La Traviatta by Giuseppe Verdi, L'elisir d'amore by Gaetano Donizetti, Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss and more.
