Carnevale season 2012 in Prague

You can again start looking forward to the carnevale season in Prague of 2012 that will be again in the style of Baroque music and masks that will enliven the Clam-Gallas Palace, one of the most beautiful Baroque buildings in Prague. Between February 12th - 16th and February 19th - 21st, 2012 you can look forward to OPERA BAROCCA, music-dance performances where musicians, singers and dancers will present themselves in period costumes and masks to the tones of music from famous operas and ballets of the 17th and 18th centuries. On Saturday February 11th, 2012 from 7:30 p.m. you can take part in BELLARIA, a Baroque concert and dinner, where you can enjoy delicious dishes while experiencing live Baroque music, arias, dances and ballets from famous operas. On the same day at 4:30 p.m. the official opening of carnival celebrations will take place at Old Town Square that will be immersed in the atmosphere of carnival whirl. After that the procession will move to the courtyard of the Clam-Gallas Palace where for the first time this year a carnival feast called FESTA with heaps of good food and wine will take place. One week later on Saturday February 18th, 2012 the whole event will culminate with the CRYSTAL BALL, a traditional Baroque ball in masks. In the enchanting interior of the Clam-Gallas Palace you will enjoy a night full of fantasy, music, delicious food and entertainment. Also children will have fun this carnival season, particularly at the AMORETTO carnival in masks that will take place on February 12th, 2012.
