Hurra Torpedo to Play Fridge and Stove Instruments at Akropolis

If you think that you have seen a lot and nothing can surprise you so easily come to Palác Akropolis to see the concert of the Norwegian band Hurra Torpedo on the 26th of January 2012. This trio uses electrical appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, washing machines and microwave ovens in place of musical instruments. Dressed stylishly in blue sweat suits Hurra Torpedo will play their „kitchen“ versions of famous hits by Britney Spears, Pixies and other interpreters. The band became an Internet phenomenon some five years ago when a Norwegian TV station broadcast their video with a kitchen version of the 1980s hit Total Eclipse of the Heart. The partner of the concert that will kick off at 7:30 p.m. is Elektrowin; if you bring an old electrical appliance, you will get tickets with a discount for CZK 100.
