Bedtime Story Evening at the Rudolfinum

The Prague Philharmonia invites children and their parents for a concert called Fairy Tale Concert or Bedtime Stories Concert that will take place at Dvořák Hall in the Rudolfinum on February 12th, 2012 at 5 p.m. Children can look forward to fairy tale compositions and the new Bedtime Story Suite by Petr Skoumal created specifically for this concert and composed of famous tunes from the Večerníček bedtime stories, famous from Czech Television. Among other things, children will learn how opera and ballet productions are created and some will be able to find out how it feels to stand on stage. Besides the Prague Philharmonia led by the conductor Tomáš Brauner, actors of the Small Vinohrady Theater and the famous Czech violinist Pavel Šporcl will perform at the concert. The concert will be accompanied by a selling exhibition of children's pictures from a fine art competition, the money from which will be donated to the reconstruction of a monastery in Pivoň that helps disabled children and children in war-torn countries and countries affected by natural disasters. Tickets for the concert are available online on the Prague Philharmonia website or at the ticket office on Husova 7 in Prague 1. Only Czech commentary will be provided.
