On Wednesday February 22nd, 2012 an exceptional concert promising a remarkable experience will take place at Rudolfinum's Dvořák Hall. The Orbis Pictus oratorio by Zuzana Lapčíková will present the famous work of the pedagogue, philosopher and theologist Jan Ámos Komenský in a different way than it is normally taught in literature classes at Czech schools. This musical experiment combines instrumental and chorus elements with solo performances with jazz tinge. There are also evident elements of Moravian folklore in the composition. The concert performed by the Prague Philharmonia and the conductor Stanislav Vavřínek will begin at 7:30 p.m. More information available at www.praguephilharmonia.com/en.
