Formed in 1986 The Lemonheads are an American alternative independent - “college rock” band that was formed by Evan Dando, Ben Deily and Jesse Peretz, with Dando being the only constant member of the band’s lineup. The band has toured and recorded with numerous musicians including John Strohm, Juliana Hatfield, Patrick “Murph” Murphy, Bill Gibson, Karl Alvarez and Bill Stevenson and others. The group reached mass success with the release of their album “It’s a Shame about Ray”, followed by a cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Mrs. Robinson”, which would become one of the bands biggest hits. The last album to be released was "Varshons" in 2009.
