Jazz Dock and MeetFactory present Medeski, Martin and Wood
American jazz trio Medeski, Martin and Wood are set to perform at Prague’s MeetFactory on April 23rd, 2012 at 21:00. Formed in 1991, the famous trio consists of John Medeski (keys and piano), Billy Martin (drums and percussion) and Chris Wood (double bass, bass guitar). This fun trio combines jazz music together with funk, hip-hop and more and is sometimes described as “avant-groove”. Medeski, Martin and Wood are a popular live act as their music sessions more often than not are characterized as exploratory jam improvisations. All members enjoy great involvement in the general music community and have participated in a large number of side projects throughout the years, which have always inspired musically from different genres.
