The iconic Slovenian band Laibach will perform at Prague's Palác Akropolis on April 5th, 2012. On its tour on the occasion of the European premiere of the Iron Sky movie it will present not only music from this movie, but also new songs from its two prepared albums, as well as older songs from the 1980s till present. Laibach was formed in 1980 in a mining town in central Slovenia and basically from its beginning had to face pressure from the then totalitarian censorship. Miraculously the band managed to release an EP called Nova Akropola with a British independent label called Cherry Red in the mid 1980s. A breakthrough in its career was the album called Opus Dei released in 1987 by the British Mute Records and the subsequent tour in Europe and the United States. Laibach is known as a controversial band that has made many successful cover versions of various hits. An industrial style, interesting stage shows and courageous multimedia projects are typical of Laibach. Tickets for the Prague concert are available for CZK 739 at Ticketportal, Ticketpro and Ticketstream and for CZK 729 at the Palác Akropolis cafe.
