Dead Can Dance
On October 10, 2012 the Kongresové centrum Praha is proud to present Dead Can Dance! Dead Can Dance also referred to as DCD formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1981 with the duo Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry that relocated to Britain in 1982. Australian music historian Ian McFarlane stated that as far as world music goes, DCD “constructs soundscapes of mesmerizing grandeur and solemn beauty with African polyrhythms, Gaelic folk, Gregorian chants, Middle Eastern mantras and art-rock”.
