Prague Photo Festival 2012

The fifth edition of the Prague Photo Festival exhibition will take place between 24 and 29 April 2012 at the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art in Prague 7. The exhibition will move here from its previous home at in the Mánes building, which is currently undergoing renovation. The Prague Photo Festival will present original photographs by almost 200 photographers. A large selection of individual photographers, as well as galleries and institutions dealing with photography will be presented. On display will be original photo collections by the Czech Center of Photography (České centrum fotografie), the Association of Professional Photographers of CR (Asociace profesionálních fotografů ČR), PHP – Foto Forum, PPF Art, Galerie Gambit, The Chemistry Gallery, and many more. The festival will include a rich collection of accompanying events including meeting with authors, round table discussions and workshops. As in previous years, the UniCredit Bank Young Prague Photo Award will be awarded to a young photographer under 35 years of age. The Prague Photo Festival will continue throughout the month of May with exhibitions taking place in twelve Prague galleries, exhibition halls, and museums.
