Icelandic evening at Palác Akropolis

Friday June 8th, 2012 at Žižkov's Palác Akropolis will all be about Iceland, as two unique figures of Icelandic independent music, who have the indie folk band Seabear and the Morr Music label in common, will put on what promises to be quite a show. The electronic singer Sin Fang is the founder of Reykjavik-based Seabear (2003), where the multi-instrumentalist Sóley Stefánsdóttir plays on keys. Sóley's dreamy pop tells stories of imaginary landscapes and is reminiscent of the singer Joanna Newsom and CocoRosie. Sin Fang likes to experiment with his indie folk by mixing it with fragile melodies or monumental orchestral arrangements. Draw inspiration from the Norse culture and come listen to Sóley and Sin Fang in June, when they end their three-week European tour with a concert at Akropolis!
