LIS ER STILLE (dk) + MADE BY FIRE (cz) + GLITCHTET (cz)

It’s that time again for Chapeau Rouge’s Indigoseries. The 11th volume will feature Lis Er Stille from Denmark - with the acclamined Czech band Made by Fire and the talented instrumental trio Glitchtet. Lis Er Stille was formed in Arhus, Denmark in 2004. Their debut album Construction Of The Amp Train was widely acclaimed and Rolling Stones senior editor David Fricke chose it as an „album of the month“. However, on the following albums L.E.S. resigned on Scandinavian dreamy post-rock cliche and explored their own way of composing music, which can be fully heard on The Collibro album (2010). Since then music analysts can trace pieces of their post-rock past, prog pomp and intensity, avantgarde songwriting and hidden dark streams of Scandinavian folk or gregorian music in Lis Er Stille. The band will present their latest album NOUS at the Prague concert. The NOUS compositions are even more intense and unpredictible then before. From the progressive predecessors, due to Martin Byrialsen´s expressive vocal, L.E.S. can sometimes call to mind the atmosphere of Van Der Graf Generator. And like Peter Hammill´s band in the 70s, they are able to produce a chilling atmosphere at their live concerts. MADE BY THE FIRE (cz) is well known not only becuase they played and amazed an audience as the supporting band for Meshuggah. Recently MBTF moved to a more melodic and colorful sound, however they kept the great groove which was characteristic for their heavier music past. All in all, Made By The Fire is one of the most interesting Czech instrumental rock bands. GLITCHTET (cz) is a guitar-bass-drums trio from Prague. They combine aggressivity and sophistication in a way that is reminiscent of bands such as Mars Volta or King Crimson. Don’t miss the 11th volume of Chapeau Rouge’s Indigoseries.
