Claire Boucher, also known as, or better known by her stage name Grimes, hails from Vancouver, Canada and is an artist, musician and director of music videos. Her unique music blends elements and influences from industrial and electronic music, as well as hip hop, R&B, and noise rock. It is interesting and intriguing to note that some of her music even features elements of medieval music. Her debut album Geidi Primes was released in 2010 and was shortly followed by Halfaxa. Her third album Visions, which was released in 2012 has been hailed by the New York Times as “one of the most impressive albums of the year so far”.
