New York-based post-punk outfit Parquet Courts return to Prague, a year after their sold-out show at the (sadly, now closed) Basement Bar. These lo-fi guitar adorers rooted in Texas have been on the top of the US indie scene for the past five years. After releasing their 5th studio album Human Performance (4/5 on Guardian, Best New Music on Pitchfork), they will demonstrate why they are favorites of the current indie audience. The support slot belongs to Brooklyn-based no-wave band Pill led by the charismatic Veronica Torres. Their debut album Convenience (released by the Mexican Summer label this August) combines politically explosive lyrics with contempt for rock formalism. Tickets available at www.meetfactory.cz.
