Opera House - 4th Anniversary at Mecca

Another spectacular ending to the Opera season! OPERA HOUSE PARTY will be celebrating its 4th anniversary in June and we’ve prepared several gifts for you. The first will be DJ LAFAYETTE’s new CD THE BEST OF OPERA HOUSE Vol 5 - awaiting the first 100 guests through the door. The second gift is a highly unorthodox take on the story of Hamlet - Prince of Denmark, full of intrigue, betrayal and philosophical questions. You’ll be taken back in time to Denmark, where Hamlet's Uncle Claudius slays his brother, the King of Denmark. Prince Hamlet gets to know about the murder and seeks to identify his uncle as his father’s killer. Claudius in turn finds out that Hamlet is a threat to him and duly packs him off to England with a secret command to execute him. Hamlet realises his intention and returns to Denmark. In the dramatic denouement, Hamlet’s beloved Ophelia, Uncle Claudius, mother Gertrude, his friend Laertes and Hamlet himself all die. The main role of HAMLET will be presented by Czech dance superstar Yemi AD, who’ll amaze the audience with his conception of the story. Cast in the supporting roles are dance instructors from Yemi’s dance centre, DAP (www.danceacademy.cz). DJ Lafayette will provide musical accompaniment to the story, so you can rest assured there’ll be plenty of things to look forward to! DJ RAFFAEL DE LA RUE will get the party going, while DJ TONY ANGELO will round things off nicely.
