Sovovy mlýny restaurant is located on Prague's Kampa Island, one of the most beautiful areas in the city on the shore of the Vltava River. You can enjoy not only delicious international cuisine with some Czech dishes on the menu here, but in summer and on warmer days throughout the rest of the year also beautiful views of the river, the Charles Bridge and other architectural gems of the capital city from the restaurant’s terrace. The restaurant is part of the Museum Kampa complex of buildings. The restaurant and café Sovovy mlýny combines modern architecture, design, fine arts and gastronomy whose quality is guaranteed thanks to the culinary skills of local chef Norbert Hojda. For affordable prices you can taste dishes of exceptional taste, such as the Rabbit Thigh stuffed with Port Wine Marinated Prunes, served with Gingerbread Dumplings and Plum Jam Sauce, the Guinea Fowl Breast with Mushroom-Rosemary Forcemeat (cooked sous vide) over Fava Beans-Black Beet Root Ragout, served with Potato Pancakes with Cream and Rosemary Demi-Glace, or the Sepia Spaghetti with Chunks of Salmon and Pike-Perch together with Tomato Concaseé with Garlic and Pecorino Cheese. The restaurant is also suitable for children; it organizes weekend programs for families, where children meet with clowns who regularly visit sick children in hospitals all over the Czech Republic. Information on when the clowns are visiting the restaurant can be found on its website. Children can even enjoy food for free here. On weekdays they can choose from three dishes listed on the regular menu, while on the weekends a special menu for parents with children is prepared. Every day, a children's corner is open where children can play with educational building sets, leaf through books or watch cartoons.
