Monsterra Studio

The Prague Monsterra Studio, founded in 2009 by architect Petr Baletka deals with interior consultancy in which it applies plants in the interior in an innovative way. Under the Monsterra brand the studio designs and produces design flowerpots, vases and accessories that it uses in its projects and also sells in its e-shop. Plants play a significant role in creating interiors and exteriors in Monsterra's concept. The new way of growing plants in the interior applied by the Monsterra Studio uses, for example, the so-called flying orchids that are planted in a glass bowl vase and hung from the ceiling on a steel wire. Your interior can look even more special if you hang several vases from the ceiling that are produced for the Monsterra Studio by a glass works in the Jizerské mountains. Flying orchids, flowerpots for herbs of pure Scandinavian design or self-watering planters simulating the way in which plants draw water in nature and other products can be ordered from the e-shop of the Monsterra Studio. Monsterra's products can be also purchased at Popout and Hard-de-Core stores in Prague. Furthermore, the Monsterra Studio will also prepare a complete project of introducing plants to your space from the initial consultation to the implementation itself, whether it is a conservatory, balcony, terrace, and interior of your entrance hall or other representative space. The owner and founder of the Monsterra Studio Petr Baletka started studying architecture in 1999 at the Faculty of Architecture at the Brno University of Technology in Brno and completed his studies at Universidade da Moderna in Lisbon. He has worked in architectural studios in Brussels and Rotterdam and before founding the Monsterra design brand he worked with the Prague-based 4a architekti studio.
