Small Vinohrady Theater

The Malé Vinohradské divadlo (Small Vinohrady Theater) is located on Záhřebská Street in Prague's residential area of Vinohrady between the Náměstí Míru and I.P.Pavlova tram stops. The ambitious troupe cooperates mainly with young theater directors with a peculiar view of the world. The theater repertoire comprises both classical dramas, as well as dramatizations of literary works and new original works. The troupe cooperates regularly for example with David Drábek, one of the most successful contemporary playwrights and directors. Starting from the 2011/2012 season the theater prepares thematic seasons with the current one being Positive Catastrophes. The Malé Vinohradské divado aims to feature quality drama, build its own distinct name and address spectators of all age groups who are interested in life around them. From this reason you will find both evening performances for adults and improvisations, as well as morning and afternoon performances for preschool children, elementary school children (junior and middle classes) and high school students. From the repertoire for a young audience we can mention, for example, the Ladybug's Detective Agency and All About Doggie and Pussycat for children from 2 years of age or performances Ronia the Robber's Daughter and Fimfarum – After the Oak Tree Sheds Leaves for older children. Tickets for performances can be reserved via telephone or email.
