U Císařů

At the Prague U Císařů (At the Emperors') restaurant you can taste both Czech and international cuisine in a stylish environment. This intriguing restaurant with its old-fashioned atmosphere features an interior in which original decorative objects like tin dishware, hunting weapons and blacksmith's bellows play an important part in reminding visitors of ages long past. The pub-style brasserie section has a separate entrance and is ideal for lunch, private parties or dinners for smaller groups. The third part of U Císařů, a wine cellar, is located in the romantic environment of a 13th century Roman cellar. You can taste wines from an extensive selection and savor venison specialties. In the summer months you will certainly enjoy the pleasant seating areas in the garden with views of Prague Castle. From the menu we can especially recommend the beefsteak tartar, prepared according to an original recipe and served with garlic toast, as well as the superb saddle of venison with rosehip sauce, or the crispy duck served with red cabbage. U Císařů can boast of having had such significant guests as the former US President George Bush and his wife, former Great Britain PM Margaret Thatcher, former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, and the former Polish President Lech Walesa, as well as many other significant persons. The services offered by U Císařů restaurant also include the hosting of gala evenings, private parties, and wedding receptions.
