The Open Gate grammar and primary school, which rewards its students with the International Baccalaureate diploma, is designated for talented students between 6 and 19 years of age. The school gives these studentes the possibility to fulfill their highest potential regardless of their family background. This is achieved thanks to The Kellner Family Foundation that to some degree supports financially more than half of the students at the grammar school and provides grants for the very best of students also in their subsequent studies at university. The Open Gate project respects the personality and individual needs of each student, which is made possible also thanks to the average class size of 18 students. In the senior grammar school years all classes are taught in English. Students can choose from many out-of-school activities that are modified according to their interests and during studies they also take part in various community service activities. State-of-the-art educational and learning technologies are at the students' disposal. Another important pillar at Open Gate is career guidance that assists students in their decision relating to further studies and professional careers. Open Gate graduates study at the best universities in the United States, Britain, Switzerland, Spain and of course, the Czech Republic. Open Gate students can commute to school or take advantage of full boarding at the school's modern facilities. It is also interesting to note that Open Gate is the only school in the Czech Republic with a formal dress code.
