La Degustation Boheme Bourgeoise is one of the newer stars belonging to the Ambiente chain. This gourmet restaurant serves 7 courses in one delicious extravagant feast, selected from a choice of two tasting menus. Go Bohemian with old-style Czech classics refined and renewed by modern techniques, or try the International menu for a more global choice. Flexibility reigns, so feel free to swap a disliked dish with a corresponding item from the other menu. A shorter 4 course menu is served "avant ou après le théâtre" at 6pm and again after 10pm. Menu items change daily, and are based on the freshest seasonal ingredients, as La Degustation tries to source its selections almost exclusively from local Czech farms and producers, adding a charming local quality. The chefs at La Degustation tirelessly prepare and decorate each and every dish with an especially personal care and flair, while Oldrich Sahajdak is the executive Chef for La Degustation and lends his not-inconsiderable talent and oversight, thanks to which the restaurant received the prestigious Michelin star in 2012 and 2013. Friendly and helpful staff make the experience an enjoyable one, while the atmosphere is intimate, modern, and elegant featuring very soft lightning with a dark wooden decor, while still retaining a sense of irreverence and fun.
