Shakespeare and Sons

Shakespeare and Sons has two locations in Prague, a bookstore in Mala Strana and a Cafe-bar and bookstore in Vyrovice. The bookstore in Mala Strana deals only with new books, while the Vyrovice location sells new and used books in English and German and serves wine, liquor, beer and coffee. It also hosts random nights of poetry readings and acoustic music sets, check the website to find out about up and coming events.  The performances are held in the main book room, which is intimate and cozy. This is a very popular venue, so make sure to arrive early to secure a seat, unless you do not mind standing.
