Divinis

Divinis is a cozy intimate restaurant serving excellent Northern Italian cuisine and top-notch wines. The menu is small, but prominent Czech Chef Zdeněk Pohlreich, who uses only fresh imported ingredients from the sun-drenched Mediterranean, makes the dishes expertly and with love. Aside from the seasonal main menu, which features among other delicious delicacies Osso bucco with braised vegetables and capers, Braised Veal with Marsala wine and a fresh fish selection of the day, the Chef often prepares special featured appetizers based on available imports, which is a nod to his creative culinary expertise and his raw talent with food. The food, to be exact, is elegant in its simplicity, and that is what makes Divinis an authentic Italian restaurant. The desserts are scrumptious and tempting, just try to resist the Lime Panna Cotta with chocolate jelly, you simply cannot. However, the true shining star of this restaurant has to be the wines that showcase the best of Italy including Barolos and Super-Tuscans including wine from the world famous Tuscan hillside town of Montepulciano. The interior is warm and inviting, even hip, without being pretentious. Divinis is a great place to wine and dine with your friends and family and it is no wonder why several have labeled it as one of the best restaurants in Prague.
