Gourmet Club at Palace Hotel

The beautiful Art Nouveau Palace Hotel, one of the first 5 star hotels in Prague, is located just a few steps from Wenceslas square. The hotel has been offering high quality services to customers like Josephine Baker, Ema Destinova, Enrico Caruso, Louis Armstrong and Bob Dylan for more than a hundred years. Gourmet Club, an award-winning restaurant located in the hotel, has certainly been responsible for at least part of the reputation of the Palace Hotel. The interior of Gourmet Club alludes to an English club at the turn of the 20th century. Covered in wood, the lounge with its dim lighting, perfectly set tables and snow-white tablecloths creates a slightly old school atmosphere, which is underscored by the friendly and attentive service. In Gourmet Club you will use beautiful original glassware and pottery, while a fountain will soothe you with its gentle chatter combined with a quiet piano melody. The menu offers international cuisine with a focus on Mediterranean and Czech meals, which can be accompanied by a choice of a quality Austrian wine chosen from the wine list. Gourmet club is one of the places where time has perhaps stood still but you are more than happy that it did. The Gourmet Club is excellent for a stylish romantic dinner with your special one. We recommend the Foie gras de canard with grilled Italian polenta, braised Prague ham and blackberry sauce as a starter, and the grilled lobster half with herb butter vegetables, saffron aioli, olive tapenade and onion baguette or organic farm chicken breast with truffle caviar, pak choi salad and pecorino spetzli as the main dish.
