La Finestra in Cucina restaurant is the younger sibling of the popular Aromi-Enoteca Con Cucina restaurant and the Aromi-la Bottega shop. These two fine establishments are the masterminds of Riccardo Lucque, an Italian chef with extensive international experience who specializes in traditional Italian cuisine. The restaurants also share a motto, which translates as "simplicity, tradition and passion". However, while Aromi focuses mainly on seafood, its younger sister La Finestra features a fine selection of Italian imported red meats. Also, unlike the Vinohrady-located Aromi, the home of La Finestra is in the Old Town district of Prague. Because La Finestra focuses mainly on meat you will be presented with a platter of raw meat from which you will choose a select piece that will be prepared for you as you wish by local skillful cooks. Traditional and impressive, La Finestra offers much more than just meat and if you love Italian cuisine, you will be satisfied. We recommend trying one of La Finestra's exceptional soups, which include the delicious lentil soup with saffron and lobster sautee, followed by slow cooked beef ribs with pecorino onions and mustard sauce, or one of the many tempting pasta or seafood dishes. The interior, designed by Mitte Studio is rustic and cozy with wooden chairs, tables and floors complemented by brick walls. To sum it up, La Finestra in Cucina is definitely one of the premiere contributions to the Prague culinary scene and should be given a try by those looking for fine Italian cuisine in Prague.
