Founded in 1991, Country Life is a health haven for organic food and other products such as natural cosmetics. Besides running 4 health food stores, Country Life also runs their own 400 acre organic farm that supplies produce to the public complete with a bakery. Country Life has one restaurant located in the Old Town area complete with a separate heath food store and cosmetic store while the other health food stores feature many products as well as small bistro areas for sampling food. And if that does not sound good enough, they also present lectures, organize health weeks, and operate health clubs. The Old Town restaurant is situated in a cool quiet courtyard located off the busy thoroughfare of Melantrichova; it is a welcome haven serving delicious and healthy treats. The restaurant is set up as a self-serve buffet where you can choose from bio barley, buckwheat, oats, salads, vegetables (grilled, baked, raw), pizza, soup, breads, desserts and much more. The selection changes daily so you can return again and again for more healthy meals. Payment is determined by the weight of your food. Water is free, something that is difficult to find in Prague! The Vegetarian Restaurant by Country Life is definitely a top choice for veggie lovers in Prague.
