Barock

Located on fashionable Pařížská Street is Barock, a famous Prague restaurant and lounge. Long been considered one of the best establishments in Prague, Barock is the culinary place to be seen. Adorning the walls are massive photographs of gorgeous supermodels, although some will tell you that these beautiful creatures are often seen socializing at Barock - you never know who will be sitting next to you. The bright interior is a pleasant blend of eclectic styles, which reflects the variety of the menu. The varied menu and chef Jana Janatová offer breakfast items including omelet’s, fresh baked croissants and Danish pastries from their in-house bakery and an extensive international cuisine lunch and dinner menu including Thai specialties, Sushi, Czech specialties, salads and soups, homemade pastas, sandwiches, seafood, meat entrees and much more. Our favorites include the Caprese Salad, the Homemade Foie Gras Terrine (coated in pistachio nuts and served with pineapple chutney, caramel, ginger, red wine reduction and toast), Tam Yam Soup (spicy Thai soup with fresh fish, tiger prawns, vegetables, chili peppers, coriander, and bean sprouts - may be also served as vegetarian), the Lightly Baked Yellow-Fin Tuna (wrapped in nori seaweed and served with vegetables, chili-soya sauce and enoki mushrooms) and the French Duck Breasts (marinated in hoi-sin and served with mushrooms, Kenyan beans, pineapple, nuts in honey and spring rolls filled with potato puree and sweet-and-sour sauce). And last but not least, for dessert we recommend the Pineapple Mille Feuille (served with mascarpone vanilla cream and raspberry sauce) and the delectable Earl Grey Créme Brulée (served with strawberry jelly, sesame and green tea ice cream in a chocolate basket). Barock also features an extensive beverage and cocktail menu plus a VIP wine list, which makes Barock one of the hottest places in town to partake in expert cocktails all the while being in the midst of beautiful people.
