This educational museum focuses on the totalitarian regime of Communism from its military coup beginning of 1948 to its collapse in November of 1989. The Museum of Communism in Prague focuses on the theme of Communism: the Dream, the Reality, and the Nightmare and primarily deals with daily life, history, politics, sports, economics, education, Soviet realism artwork, media and propaganda, the army, the secret police, censorship, labor camps and more. The unique and authentic objects on display at the Museum of Communism are from private collections.
