The dance school dates back to 1946 and has been and continues to provide quality affordable dance lessons for all types of dancers including beginners and seasoned professionals who wish to continue their education. The dance school offers mainly sport dances such as Standard Dances (waltz, tango, Viennese waltz, quickstep, slowfox) and Latin American Dances (mamba, rumba, cha-cha-cha, jive, Paso doble). The professional dance trainers believe that dancing should be many things, an art form, relaxation, exercise, hobby, and sport but most of all, fun! The dance school offers individual dance classes at both social and sport levels and organizes team-building events (dancing is a great way for people to connect and relax) and dance choreographies. Dance School TŠ Standardklub Praha competes in dancing contests every year and also organizes dancing performances of their students. For those who wish to join a dance class, applicants are accepted year round and classes are held 7 days a week. All of the ballrooms are located in the city center.
