Bastille is an English indie-rock band formed in London in 2010. It was a solo project by singer and songwriter Dan Smith, who later decided to form a band. The name of the band comes from the Bastila conquest event celebrated on Dan's birthday on July 14. In December 2010, EMI Music announced that it had offered the group a record deal with Virgin Records. Their debut single Overjoyed was released in April 2012. In February 2013, before the release of their debut album, the world was introduced to the single Pompeii, which possessed tremendous interest and placed 2nd in the British charts. After releasing their Bad Blood album, the band became even more successful, and they were at the top of all European charts. Their brand new album, Give Me The Future, came out on 4th of February 2022 and Bastille will perform it in Prague at Malá sportovní hala on 23rd of November.
