The Booming Startup Scene
The Czech startup ecosystem has been flourishing since 2010 when the first innovative startups were established. This innovative eruption brought forth globally successful IT startups which resulted in laying the first founding blocks for the startup support infrastructure in the Czech Republic.
According to Crunchbase (2021) there are 787 startups based in the Czech Republic, based mostly in Prague and Brno. These startup cities have the highest concentration of support including services such as mentoring, consultancy services, office rentals, and networking. During this startup era a couple of verticals proved to be the most competitive on an international level - SaaS, Software Engineering, AI, Healthtech, Nanotechnology, E-commerce and Marketing.
