*Adept will perform at the MeetFactory on December 9, 2025.* Adept focuses on metalcore with an emphasis on combining aggressive and melodic elements. Over more than two decades, it has gradually developed a distinctive musical style intended primarily for live performance. The themes within its lyrics and the energy of its stage presence are integral to its work. Exploding onto the scene with Another Year of Disaster, the band carved a path through modern metalcore with the Death Dealers and cinematic Silence the World. Their latest full-length, Sleepless, pushed their intensity even further. Founded in a garage in Trosa, Sweden, in 2004, Adept began as a group of friends driven by a passion for heavy music. Early demos and relentless live shows quickly put them on the map, leading to their 2009 debut, Another Year of Disaster, which set the foundation for their signature sound.
