MAYDA
MAYDA women's clothing designed by Magda Vachunová successfully comprises elegant lines, glove-fitting cuts and original color patterns. This young Czech designer works only with delicate materials, such as silk, cotton, viscose and wool. You will find mainly casual, comfortable designs in the pleasant background of the MAYDA showroom, which lies in the vicinity of Prague's shopping boulevard, Na Příkopě. The clothing include dresses, skirts, blouses and t-shirts, pants, and outerwear. This fashion brand also tenders custom-made clothes and productions of whole collections. All of the work originates in the Czech Republic, with the utmost emphasis on the proper way of tailoring. You can choose from many collections that have been made on a different basis – the MOJEKOŘENY collection, for example, is inspired by the Czech countryside and its traditions - a clear explanation for why there is abundance of patterns featuring nature. Some of the designs are brilliantly completed with the TYFORMY accessories, made mostly from porcelain, on the edge of fine and applied art. MAYDA women's clothing can be purchased not only at the showroom, but also in the Prague fashion stores Parazit and Pour Pour. Magda Vachunová graduated from textile and fashion design at the Technical University in Liberec, 3D design at the Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín, and stage design of costumes and masks at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She was twice among the finalists of the junior competition for young fashion designers (2001 and 2003) and once she won with her collection Face to Face. In a competition for the Avon Company she won the main prize in the Little Black Dress Category in 2002. Three years later she was among the finalists of the Fashion Province International Competition for young fashion designers in Lithuania. She often exhibits her designs at fashion and design shows in the Czech Republic and Germany.
