Prague Open Mic
Looking for a great night out on the town with some live music thrown in for good measure? If so, head over to the Prague Open Mic night at the Napa bar and art gallery in the charming area of Mala Strana, Prague 1 (one of the few non-touristy bars in the area). The Open Mic night, fun and casual with a very laid-back atmosphere, is held every Tuesday night from 7 – 10 p.m. If you wish to join in the fun, feel free to – whether you’re a singer-songwriter with your own songs, or a musician doing cover versions of another artist – you’re always welcome at this international get-together. Speaking of international, it is interesting to note that the Open Mic night has had performers from over 30 countries and all continents. You can sign up to play on the Prague Open Mic website (listed below), on their Facebook page, or you feel like doing things the old fashioned way, you can pop in and ask to speak with the host, George. This is an event and venue where you can truly meet up and share the awesome bonds of music, good vibes, good drinks, and so much more – just take it from the Sunday Times magazine, who stated in their February 2017 edition that Napa is a “refuge for musicians.” As an added bonus – musicians who play their own material get a free drink (beer, wine or soft drink). If you’re a musician, singer, music lover, etc., the Prague Open Mic night is a great place to frequent – listen to or play great music, make new friends, and simply enjoy Prague and the musicians who call it home.
