Slavia Swimming Pool

When the sweltering days of summer set in and you can no longer handle the concrete heat of the city, head to the Slavia Swimming Center, located in the residential area of Vrsovice. The Slavia Swimming Center resembles something out of a 70s movie set with two large pools surrounded by Communist architecture, concrete patios and kiosks selling ice cream, Czech beer, and sausages. But despite this seemingly uninviting facade, the pools are large, cool, clean and very refreshing. During the summer there is a large pool for children and a large deeper pool (50 meters long) for adults, perfect for doing laps in the clearly marked lanes. The complex also features a large indoor pool (opened during the winter months – 25 meters long, 12 meters wide), an indoor children’s pool, a sauna, solarium, cosmetics salon and more. Swimming lessons are also available. Entry prices are 90 CZK for one hour or 100 CZK for two hours. Monthly passes are available as well.
