Letná Family Center
Since its foundation in 2004 the Letná Family Center, a non-profit organization run by a group of volunteers, has been aiming to provide a welcoming space for children and their parents, where they can meet and exchange experiences and contacts. For this purpose a playroom, gym and other facilities in the premises of the Prague 7 City Hall on Janovského Street, have been set up. The Letná Family Center offers morning programs in its playroom primarily designed for children of pre-kindergarten age, but older siblings are also welcome. The family center program includes also activities for children in kindergarten and early school ages, and for adults – you can choose from art classes for both younger and older children, yoga classes, prenatal yoga and post natal yoga or exercise classes for infants which focus on stimulating harmonious and healthy psychomotor development, and more. Classes designed to teach parents how to safely tie a baby wrap carrier are held in the Letná Family Center irregularly once a month. During the classes for adults, babysitting in the playroom is provided for a small fee. Besides a regular program the family center organizes also one-off events for general public, such as a carnival celebration, advent programs, fund-raising events, marble tournaments, and more.
