Osees + Marcel Gidote's Holy Crab
# After nearly a decade, the rock'n'roll explosion of California's Osees is heading to Prague again, they will perform at the MeetFactory on 4 August 2025. Osees are the current incarnation of a project founded by John Dwyer in the second half of the nineties, formerly known as OCS, Thee Oh Sees or Oh Sees. Their singular garage punk rock sound full of dark psychedelia and frenetic rhythms has been released on over two dozen albums over the years. Their most recent, 2024's SORCS 80, sees the band dump guitars altogether in favor of analog synths, samplers and distorted saxophone. With a sci-fi aesthetic inspired by Dwyer's early childhood, the new record reflects on themes of trust, betrayal and alienation through a typically wild, vigorous sound and powerful lyrics. Osees are coming to MeetFactory on Monday, August 4. „Continuing through their fuzz-to-the-max gonzo-synth garage rock, Osees return with another total aural blast. Buckle in!“ — Louder Than War The opening slot is in the hands of local five-piece Marcel Gidote’s Holy Crab who blend a modern strain of prog rock with kraut and jazz. In March of last year, the band released an acclaimed soundtrack for the indie PC game Felvidék, followed by a fresh double album Sorcerers Laughing Out In The Heat.
