Klub přátel: Garden Party a performance shYfted wOrld
*The Garden Party of the Friends Club will take place on 20 June in the garden of Šternberg Palace and will also offer an evening tour of the medieval exhibition and a performance installation in the Agnes Monastery.* The summer meeting of the Friends Club members will take place in the form of a garden party in the garden of the Sternberg Palace. As part of the extended opening hours, visitors will be able to visit the collection exhibition Medieval Art in Bohemia and Central Europe, 1200-1550. The evening will also include a transfer of attention to the premises of the Monastery of St. Agnes of Bohemia, where a site-specific performance shYfted wOrld will take place. *shYfted wOrld* The performative installation will present a series of unusual figures whose bodies resemble humans, but whose heads take on abstract geometric shapes. Each of the creatures is accompanied by a symbiote - an animal or plant - and their existence unfolds in time and space outside of normal human experience. Visitors will encounter a researcher in the form of a praying mantis, a creature studying an herbarium, a scribe or meditating gardeners. The installation blurs the boundaries between the historical and the futuristic, the human and the inhuman. The performance is created by the international art collective tYhle, which combines dance, physical theatre, performance and clowning. Their work focuses on experimentation and imagination, and often works with themes of identity, society and the everyday. *Length of lecture and performance:* approximately 60 minutes *Venue:* the garden of the Sternberg Palace and the Convent of St. Agnes of Bohemia The event is open to members of the Friends Club.
